World Day of Prayer

World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome all to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. The common day of observance is the first Friday of March, but local WDP activities are held all year long. There are lots of interesting articles and resources for both children and adults on the World Day of Prayer website.
In Longside, the Parish Church and St John’s Episcopal Church have a long history of joining together for a service on the first Friday in March.
This year the service was prepared by women of the Cook Islands.
